The Raven harp is the lead voice on this recording, joined by guitar, accordion, bouzouki, hammer dulcimer. The track that holds the heart of the disc, is the last track, ‘Sun Watchers’. This piece was inspired by sacred spirals carved into stone in Chaco Canyon, El Morro and in cairns in Ireland. These spirals were used to mark ‘time’s flight’, by a sun watcher. Probably a spiritual leader whose very important job was to rise before the sun and make the critical decisions of planting, harvesting, ceremonies and ultimately the balance of life itself.
